Answers to Your Micropigmentation Questions

Brows
 frequently asked questions

1. What is brow micropigmentation?

Brow micropigmentation is also known as cosmetic tattooing or PMU. It entails the process of implanting pigment just below the surface of the skin. I use a digital hand held machine with individual sterile needles. This technique is suitable for people who have overplucked, have thin brows or lost their brows due to Alopecia, Trichotillomania or chemotherapy. Micropigmentation will gently enhance your natural features and create bespoke brows that are customised to your facial features.

2. How long does it take?

The procedure is approx. 2-3 hours long, this includes a consultation and a detailed aftercare discussion

3. Does it hurt?

Everyone’s pain tolerance is different and I will do my best to keep you as comfortable as possible. The skin will be numbed throughout the procedure and most people barely feel it, some even fall asleep.

4. Can I refuse a patch test?

All clients are required to have a patch test prior to their appointment. Anyone that refuses a patch test will not have their procedure carried out.

5. Is micropigmentation suitable for everyone?

Those who are NOT suitable for micropigmentation:

Using facial morphology your correct brow shape is designed, we then discuss and tweak the shape if necessary to ensure you are happy to give the go ahead to start the procedure. Together we discuss the best colour that suits your skin undertone, eye colour and brow hair colour.

  • Fill in your eyebrows as you normally would, with the colour you would normally wear.
